 OUR MISSION
Our mission is to support fair trade and provide steady work and opportunity for our Artisan partners. Profits are immediately reinvested by way of new inventory orders, which in turn provide work for them, which keeps the cycle going. By purchasing their handmade items, you and I are now connected to these remarkable, resilient people, as our orders allow them to continue earning their livelihood in a dignified, safe environment.
RETURNS

Due to the unique nature of the goods we offer and our financial commitment to our artisans,  we can not offer refunds or exchanges. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
The ONLY exception to this policy is if an item is received structurally defective, or if there was a processing error. Should that happen, please contact us immediately so we can make it right!

ABOUT OUR BAGS

Our bags are individually handcrafted by Mayan artisans. As such, they may show characteristics including uneven stitching, leather markings, double stitching, loose threads, etc., all considered to be hallmarks of indigenous handwork.
NONE OF OUR BAGS ARE “FACTORY PERFECT”. THEY LOOK HANDMADE, BECAUSE THEY INDEED, ARE. COSMETIC BLEMISHES ARE NOT CONSIDERED DEFECTS.
GREAT CARE IS TAKEN TO PRICE OUR BAGS BOTH FAIRLY AND ACCORDINGLY.
If you have a question, a concern, or require more detailed photos of an item, please ask prior to purchasing. We are happy to oblige! We would never offer a bag for sale that we would not proudly carry ourselves. But, like the bags, we each have our own little idiosyncrasies. What might go unnoticed by one person, may be a deal breaker for someone else.
We know these bags are an investment, and we want you to love them! So please, ask questions in advance of purchase.

SHIPPING

Most items are shipped via UPS or USPS. We offer free domestic shipping on purchases over 
$99. We now offer international shipping to Canada & Australia. You will receive a tracking number once your order is shipped. Please allow three business days for your order to be processed.
Optional insurance for your package is offered at checkout through Route. We recommend purchase if your order exceeds $100 as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen packages and UPS and USPS insurance tops out at $100.
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will verify the address and resend it at the buyers expense.


ABOUT LAY-BUY & AFTERPAY

We are pleased to offer short term payment plans through AfterPay and Lay-Buy!
LayBuy is a type of layaway program administered through PayPal. Selecting Lay-Buy at check out will allow you to split the cost of your purchase into two equal payments. A deposit of 50% is required at checkout, with the remaining amount due in 30 days.  This payment will automatically be drafted from your PayPal account on the date you select at check out. After your order is paid in full, your purchase will ship to you.
AfterPay requires a 25% payment at purchase, with the remainder automatically billed to your credit or debit card biweekly for 6 weeks. Unlike LayBuy, your order ships to you immediately! It’s like a mini line of credit, but there are no additional fees, as long as you don’t fall behind on your payments. 

 COLORS & YOUR MONITOR

Computer monitors may display colors a bit differently, and the human eye may perceive these colors differently. While we try to edit our photos to show colors as true as possible, please understand the actual color may vary slightly from what you see on your monitor. If you have concerns, please reach out prior to purchase.
